As many of you know, I have completed a year away living in Spain in the beautiful region of Granada. It is because of this slight disruption to normal life that I haven't been updating this blog, but now that I am back I am determined to complete what I have started!
I now have albums and albums bursting full of beautiful photos which I have collected on my travels so I have plenty of new and exciting material to upload. Granada's best-know attraction is the Alhambra, counted by many as one of the wonders of the world. So, upon my arrival into this new area it seemed to be the right thing to do to start getting to know my foreign surroundings by paying a visit to this fantastic construction. I was blown away by the architecture and design and it also offered stunning views of the city. Unfortunately, the other thing that I thought would be right to do in order to get to know my foreign surroundings was to go and get blind drunk with some of its residents the night before (I'm not going to say that this was for educational reasons, but all I know is that by the end of the night my Spanish was FLUENT ) so another useful feature of this historical site was the regular drinking water fountains I spent a lot of the tour face down in.
