Anyway, today's entry features Brighton University's final year fashion show which I attended in London a few weeks ago. This show was a continuation from the photos I took a few months back featuring Liz Russell's preliminary ideas for her range of male clothing based on the archetype of the "trickster" ( seeDay 63: GUEST ARTIST: Elizabeth Russel, work in progress. for more info on this) of which you can see an example of in the photo below on the right. All the clothes were of amazingly high quality and the styles were varied and interesting, with a brave experimentation of shapes and forms which clashed with the conventional female/male figures. However, as I was stuck behind a row of equally eager photographers my snaps aren't as fantastic as I would have hoped, but at least the shots show some of the movement of the clothing. Overall it was a fascinating display and inspiration enough for me to kickstart my blog again!
