"The Trickster is an archetype, who has a playful yet mischievious personality. Psychologist Jung talks of archetypes as a genetic build up that we are all born with, and therefore the Trickster is withing all of us. Those of us who deny this natural urge to trick and make fun of the serious end up with the Trickster becoming more and more dominant in their unconscious . This can result in out-of-character behaviour, or even a shadow/nightmare version of the Trickster to appear in our dreams or projected onto others.
There is a secret attraction and fascination with dark fantasy worlds and by wearing the Trickster mask, that I propose through my collection, we are allowed to step into that world and be someone else, as well as learn more about ourselves in the present."
It was a great exhibition and shows a whole load of potential on what is to come next summer!
